Kodak Joins Chicago Climate Exchange

Kodak has commited to reducing greenhouse gas emissions 20 percent from 2003-2008 time period. From 2003 to 2005, Kodak reduced these emissions 10 percent.

The release states that Kodak has joined CCX for the 2003-2006 Phase I period of its emissions reduction plan. It is not clear what reductions Kodak has commited to make during phase one.

“Kodak is proud to support CCX in its prominent role in establishing a U.S.-wide market for carbon trading.” said David M. Kiser, PhD, Kodak vice president and director of Health, Safety and Environment.

With consumers moving from film and paper to digital photos, Kodak has closed a number of GHG-producing facilities in recent years.
