GE Releases 2007 Citizenship Report
GE has released its 2007 citizenship report (website), highlighting the company’s progress on its 2006 commitments and providing a view into its priorities for the coming year. The report, “Investing in a Sustainable Future,” is the company’s third, and GE says it focuses on the interdependence between business strategy and corporate citizenship, especially as it relates to social and environmental issues in emerging markets.
According to the report, GE:
- Held environmental exceedances (air, wastewater, spills) essentially flat year over year while production and number
of manufacturing sites increased. - Is on track to achieving 1-30-30 goals and reaching 4 percent GHG reduction in first….
