This is exactly the type of story offsetting critics are looking for to demonstrate how hypocritical they think carbon offsetting is.

Don’t get me wrong, offsetting the race is better than not offsetting (if the offsets are top quality and verifiable) but you’ll see…they’re going to jump on this one and ride it for a long time.

If Carfax really wants to help the planet it would cancel the race.
