Green Promotional Item Cuts PC Energy Use
The Ecobutton is a promotional item for businesses – company logos, messages and weblinks can be incorporated into the Ecobutton splash screen. When you hit the button, a computer is put in a special “ecomode” which saves more energy than the normal sleep mode, drawing only the same nominal power as when the computer and monitor are completely shut down, according to the company. When the user returns to his or her screen, a display will appear that shows the amount of dollars and carbon that were saved.
