		<description>We (endurance.net) had the opportunity to attend the Future Energy Summit and were also quite surprised by the total lack of US representation/participation/involvement. In attending the various press conferences at the event, I found it quite telling that, while most spoke to the issues/threads of the conference, the US Sec. of Energy focused almost exclusively on how OPEC production levels were going to effect the US short term world view. There was little/no vision expressed by the US contengent and very little on-topic discussion at all.

Likely this reflects our (very) short term view of the world and the projection of the status quo as far forward as possible.
