Bayer Releases CSR Report

According to Bayer’s 2007 Sustainability Report, while company growth caused an increase in GHG emissions from 7.52 million metric tons in 2006 to 7.6 million tons in 2007, it has reduced its GHG emissions by 37 percent worldwide since 1990.

The company says it aims to reduce its GHG emissions by 25 percent per metric ton of product worldwide by 2020 in its “energy-intensive” Bayer MaterialScience.

While it estimates that GHG emissions of the Bayer Group will remain at the present level through 2020 despite growth in production, Bayer says it plans to reduce its GHG emissions by….
