Espero neste ano de 2009, poder participar com nossa ONG (Programas Ambientais Ecologicos e Socias) na COP 15, pois em 2008, COP 14 Poznan, tentanmos todos os meios, sem sucesso. However, this year's December COP14 conference in Poznan, Poland may be even more important. Coming just one month after the presidential election, this meeting is where the specifics for the Copenhagen protocol will be set. There's no doubt a representative of the US President-elect will be there along with the US Diplomatic core. In early 2009, the hard work begins when the candidate takes office, as they try to convince Congress to go along with the new climate change protocol while facing challenges related to the economic crisis. The hope is all the details for COP15 will be decided long before anyone arrives in Copenhagen. If you're thinking you should be an observer in Poznan, you're pretty much out of luck. Hotel rooms have been sold out for months. EnviroMedia and Green Canary Sustainability Consulting will be there, providing time-sensitive reports for members of the US Business Council for Sustainable Development.
