Kohler Web Campaign to Help Homeowners Save Water

Bookmark and Share Email this story Print this post Add your comments

Kohler has launched a viral web campaign to teach homeowners the importance and ease of saving water, and provide up to $1 million worth of water-saving plumbing products to Habitat for Humanity.

For each person who visits the SaveWaterAmerica.com site and takes a 3-question quiz about their water use, the company will offer one dollar’s worth of water-saving products to Habitat for Humanity. By sharing the site with friends or posting it to their social network pages, visitors can help Kohler reach their $1 million goal.

Kohler will also market its products through information about water-saving products, including low-flow toilets and showerheads, as well as a database of available toilet rebate programs throughout the country.

To accompany their web campaign, Kohler is launching a tour of 25 cities currently facing water shortages.

If you are serious about saving water, want a toilet that works, looks sleek and is affordable, please look into Caroma Dual Flush toilets. Caroma, an Australian company, invented the 2 button Dual Flush technology in the 80’s and is the worlds leading manufacturer with more models listed on EPA’s list of WaterSense labeled toilets than any other manufacturer. Caroma toilets offer a patented dual flush technology consisting of a 0.8 Gal flush for liquid waste and a 1.6 Gal flush for solids. On an average of 5 uses a day (4 liquid/ 1 solid) a Caroma Dual Flush toilet uses an average of 0.96 gallons per flush. The new Sydney Smart uses only 1.28 and 0.8 gpf, that is an average of 0.89 gallons per flush. This is the lowest water consumption of any toilet available in the US. Also, with a full 3.5? trapway, these toilets virtually never clog. All of Caroma’s toilets are on the list of WaterSense labeled HET’s http://www.epa.gov/watersense/pp/find_het.htm and also qualify for several toilet rebate programs available in the US.
