Regarding the above, I find it extraordinary that McDonough is not only still in the certification business but that there is still media support of the &#039;less than transparent&#039; &#039;systems of certification&#039; he, and unfortunately a lot of well intentioned folks, are promulgating.  I think ignoring the still recent expose on McDonough perpetuates a confused marketplace and stalls real progress - full transparency vs. smoke and mirrors is what is needed - the only thing good about &#039;Cradle to Cradle&#039; is its namesake and that it created lots of awareness early on where there was none. Now they should focus on providing creative design solutions in keeping with their vocations and leave the certification administration to those with formidable creditentials in that arena.
