The article fails to mention that in 2007 Airbus was the first aerospace company to receive ISO 14001 certification for all of its manufacturing operations through the full life cycle of its products, and in 2009 received ISO 14001 certification for all of its facilities world-wide. Thus, with Boeing's ISO 14001 certification this year the two largest aircraft manufacturers have committed to "greening" their operations and their products. We in aviation get it and are actively pursuing ways to reduce our environmental impact.
