This is all very well, but what is the retail and manufacturing sectors doing about their consumption, ie for packagting and transit purposes. For example the retail sector uses incredibly large volumes of plastic bags to transport clothing, food and other merchandise. I have seen this plastic being recycled as packaging for mail order goods which does not solve matters. It merely dilutes awareness of the vast problem this is causing and shifts the burden of responsibility on to the consumer when it is, in fact, the vendor's responsibility to dispose of their plastic or other waste in a far more environmentally friendly manner.
