The notion of carbon capture and sequestration is gaining momentum in the United States. For instance, the Montana governor recently signed off on a bill to make it legal there.

But the technology has been in place at an offshore oil field in Norway for 13 years. Still, the Norwegian government has questions about the commercially viability of carbon capture and sequestration, reports Reuters.
