I would love to have the energy efficient appliances. I know the phrase "every little bit helps" people just do not have the extra money to send and have to wait 6-8weeks for the rebate money or file on you taxes however that works. Why not just trade in the old appliances and receive new ones. With restrictes.

How many of these appliances will be made in the U.S.A. so the people can keep this cash injection in the national economy? And, how much waste are we adding to landfills just to get a little kickback on more unnecessary consumption? I am all for conservation, but at what cost?

I would like to purchase more energy effient appliances in the near future (dishwasher, washer, dryer). I will not necessarily purchase them without a reasonable rebate since the current appliances are in fairly good shape though are more than 18 years old. When does the rebate program start and If I purchase the appliances in the near future (October 1, 2009) can I receive a rebate retroactively?

My question is this, if I buy my new fridge now can I get a rebate later once approved? Lowe's is having a 20% off energy star appliance sale that I would love to take advantage of.

My husband and I are waiting for the program to start before we buy some new appliances. Every State has different rebbate plans on how much money they will give you. Where I live, you can get cash for your old fridge (if it works) without buying a new refrigerater.

www.RebatesForRefrigerators.com will have the links.
