It's exciting to see so many schools innovating in this manner, but I'm skeptical of any list that does not include my alma mater, the Bainbridge Graduate Institute.

I'm certain that BGI rarely makes these lists because it doesn't meet criteria. It's small, with a combined student and alum body of about 700. An until last week, it was unaccredited (see the accreditation press release on CSRWire - yay!).

But it also was the first school in our country to offer an MBA in Sustainable Business. The entire curriculum is grounded in sustainability principles.

We are a carbon neutral school - offsets are purchased to cover all emissions. We attend school at a LEED Gold Certified campus called Islandwood.

So I guess my point is, I encourage you to recognize the incredible work that the schools on this and other lists are doing - but don't forget to look beyond the lists. There are some little guys out there like BGI that are truly leading the way.
