Doesn't Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI) still allow massive clearcutting and conversion of real biodiverse forests into sterile tree plantations treated by large doses of herbicides designed to kill native plants that wildlife requires. Apparently so - just look at the new timber harvest plans being filed in California www.thptrackingcenter.org or Google to see the widespread massive clearcutting throughout the Sierra Nevada and other forests.
