Software Tools Ease Environmental Data Tracking
Organizations will find it easier to track their environmental performance with new and upgraded software tools from iReuse, Enviance and FirstCarbon. These Internet-based enterprise software solutions for tracking environmental data including greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, energy consumption and water use are easier to use and more customizable.
As an example, iReuse has launched its online Tracking and Reporting (T&R) Tool, a new sustainable business dashboard that helps companies measure their financial, environmental, and social impact across multiple locations. With the software-as-a-service (SaaS) application, commercial businesses can achieve greater transparency into their operating expenses and environmental impact to identify the greatest areas for improvement.
Aimed at increasing operating efficiency and environmental stewardship, the sustainability metrics tracker helps companies track information about their energy, water, waste, procurement costs and performance.
A few early customers for the iReuse solution include Glenborough, Adobe, PG&E, Berg Holdings, Delta Dental, Fairmont Hotel, and New Resource Bank.
Environmental ERP solution provider Enviance released its version 6.4 of the Enviance System and Enviance Quick Data 2.0 that tout new features and functionality that make the software easier to use, while meeting the next-generation of demands for emissions management.
New features include customizable dashboards, workflow reports, quick links and flexible data entry forms. As an example, the new customizable dashboards at the desktop enables users to configure their pages for things like tasks, workflows, data warnings, and data metrics based on their preferences.
In addition, the Enviance Quick Data 2.0 is also easier to use with a new Data Forms tab, which allows users to enter numeric data, related non-numeric or textual data, and related data quality information that can be configured based on the user’s requirements. Data can be pasted directly into the grid from Microsoft Word, Excel, a PDF document or virtually any table.
Enviance also recently launched its GHG FastTrack program that can help a company begin tracking its emissions within 60 days.
FirstCarbon Solutions also released its GHG emissions management software and services solution, ghgTrack. This customizable solution allows both regulated and non-regulated industries to manage GHG emissions and other sustainability data. The graphical user interface dashboards and customizable metrics, for tracking water consumption to recycling initiatives, can be used by both large and small organizations.
The ghgTrack dashboard provides a graphical summary of an organization’s GHG emissions and carbon footprint, allowing them to make decisions based on key performance indicators. The dashboard includes baseline comparisons, year-over-year, open or overdue tasks, as well as interactive views of emissions by classification, facility totals and thresholds.
