Environmental & Energy Executive Moves: GE, Toshiba, First Wind, Hara, NextEra, ISO

Banyan Water: The water management consultant has appointed Jeff Fulgham as CSO. He was chief sustainability officer & Ecomagination director at GE Power & Water.

Carbon Trust: The U.K.-based standard setter and cleantech funder has appointed James Smith as its new chairman. Smith is the former chairman of Shell UK, BusinessGreen reports.

Powerit Solutions: The smart grid company has appointed Kevin Klustner as CEO. His prior positions include serving Verdiem Corporation as president and CEO, and he is author of Energy Efficiency: The Future is Now (CreateSpace, 2008). Most recently, he was a managing partner and co-founder of Convergency Partners.

World Green Building Council: The council has appointed Rick Fedrizzi to the position of chairman. He is president, CEO and Founding Chair of the U.S. Green Building Council. Outgoing chairman Tony Arnel steps down from the role after three years.

Hara: The sustainability software company has appointed Dan Leff as CEO. He previously served in executive roles at Invensys and Enron Energy Services.

NextEra Energy: The utility has appointed Armando Pimentel as president and CEO of NextEra Energy Resources, its competitive power generation subsidiary. He joined the company as CFO in 2008 and replaces Mitch Davidson, who leaves the company. Moray Dewhurst has been named vice chairman and CFO of NextEra Energy.

Dassault Systèmes: The maker of sustainability design software has named Asheen Phansey as North American sustainability leader, in addition to his current role as sustainability product manager for subsidiary DS SolidWorks Corp.

International Organization for Standardization: Terry Hill, who chairs the board of trustees of engineering and consulting firm Arup Group, will become president-elect of the standards developer in January, according to Occupational Health & Safety.

OZZ Clean Energy: The renewables, natural gas and electricity company has appointed Boris Baril as CFO. He joins from Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp.

Redwood Systems: The lighting company has appointed Bruce Pelton as senior vice president of technology. Previously, he was chief technology officer at Tyco Electronics Lighting.

Clean Harbors: The provider of environmental, energy and industrial services has appointed David T. Musselman as senior vice president and general counsel. He was vice president, general counsel and secretary of International Power America, Inc.

AFC Energy: The developer of alkaline fuel cells has appointed Ian Williamson as chief executive with effect from November. He joins from Air Products, where he worked for 26 years, most recently as hydrogen and bio energy systems director.

First Wind: The wind energy company promoted Keske Toyofuku to senior vice president (SVP) of information and technology and chief information officer, North American Windpower reports. Toyofuku was vice president and chief information officer.

On the Move Systems: The solar tech company has appointed Patrick Brown as president and CEO.

Vu1 Corporation: The developer of energy-efficient lighting has appointed Juan Carlos Blacker as vice president, business development – energy efficient markets.  Blacker was program and product manager at Portland Energy Conservation, Inc. (PECI).

Solazyme: The renewable oil and bioproducts company has appointed Jeffrey Webster as COO. He joins from Tyson Foods, where he was group vice president and general manager of the Renewable Products business.

Toshiba: The technology company has announced a team to lead its LED Lighting Systems Division. Ken Honeycutt has assumed the role of senior vice president, Toshiba International Corporation, and chief venture executive for Toshiba LED Lighting Systems Division. Honeycutt spent most of his career with Acuity Brands Lighting, where he rose to the position of CEO and president. Other appointments include Mark Altomare as vice president of business development; Peter DallePezze as vice president of marketing and product development; Keisuke Ono as technology executive officer; and Jim McKenzie as acting director of operations.

ThermoEnergy Corporation: The wastewater treatment and power generation technology company has appointed its president and CEO, Cary G. Bullock, to also serve as chairman of the board of directors.

K Road: The solar developer has appointed Carl Weatherley-White as its CFO. He was Managing Director and Global Head of Energy Structured Finance at Barclays Capital.

Solar Nation: The solar developer announced that Paul Hodge has resigned as CEO and taken up the post of chairman of the board. Former president Dan Drummond becomes CEO.

Arcadis: The consulting and engineering company has appointed Brian Burdorf as national air permitting and compliance director within its environmental division.

Switch Lighting: The LED maker appointed Thomas “Tracy” Bilbrough as its new CEO. He previously served as president and CEO of Generation Brands, a supplier to the lighting industry.

eIQ Energy: The PV technology company has appointed Cary Vandenberg as vice president of sales. He was CEO of smart grid company Agilewaves.

Suntech Power Holdings: The Chinese solar company has named John Lefebvre as president of its U.S. and Canada business, Reuters reports. He had been vice president of sales and business development at solar installer SolarCity.

SolarCity: The provider of solar financing, design, installation, monitoring and energy efficiency services appointed Thomas Leyden as vice president of commercial sales.

Cadmus Group: The consultant to companies in the high performance building market has hired Christopher Smith. It did not name Smith’s position but said he will lead Cadmus’s efforts to become a global leader in its field. He was formerly COO of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

American Water: The utility has appointed John Bigelow, currently the president of New Jersey American Water, as senior vice president of business services. David Baker, the senior vice president of American Water’s Western Division, will become the new president of New Jersey American Water.

Veolia Environmental Services North America: The company has appointed Darryl Schimeck to be president and CEO of Veolia ES Industrial Services Inc, Waste & Recycling News reports.

Green Bridge Industries: The maker of environmentally friendly cleaners has appointed Donald Wood as its new CEO and sole director, and has accepted the resignation of the current board members and management team.

Clean Urban Energy: The energy storage and smart grid technology provider has appointed Steve Schaefer as senior vice president of corporate development. Schaefer co-founded Enerlogics, a consulting company specializing in demand response, energy efficiency, and renewables solutions.
