Hydrotex Products Help Nestle Increase Injection Molding Efficiency
The program aimed to eliminate regular servo valve failures that NWNA was experiencing in its Husky HyPET 500 units (pictured). Furthermore, the project targeted reduced energy consumption and reduced bottom line costs.
In the second year that it has been using Hydrotex SYN-Nth hydraulic fluid, NWNA has reported no servo valve failures; its fluid analysis indicates no wear on metals or oil degradation and energy efficiency in the injection molders has improved by over 13.5 percent after 13,000 hours of operation, Hydrotex says.
In December 2010, lightweighting processes used by Husky injection molding systems were recognized with the Best Innovation Award by Coca-Cola China at its Supplier Sustainability Summit.
The award recognized Husky for its work on the development of projects such as the EcoBase preform design, a technology that provides weight savings of up to 2.5 percent.
