Environmental Executive Moves: GlencoreXstrata, ACS, Proterra, ABB

Here’s the latest news on hirings, promotions and departures among environmental leaders.

GlencoreXstrata: The commodity trading and mining company has named former BP chief executive Tony Hayward (pictured) as its interim board chairman. The company’s intention is for Hayward — who was in charge of BP during the Deepwater Horizon disaster — to step down once it selects a new permanent chairman.

ACS Group: The temperature control systems maker has hired Jim Holbrook as its new president. Holbrook joins from Ramu, a venture capital funded startup that was sold to Regal Beloit, where he was CEO.

Proterra: The electric bus company has named Garrett E. Mikita as its new president and CEO. Mikita takes over from David Bennett.

ABB: The power and automation firm’s CEO Joe Hogan has decided to leave the company for private reasons. Hogan will continue to lead ABB until a successor is announced. A date for his departure has not yet been decided.

Haley & Aldrich: The environmental and engineering firm has announced that Anntonette Alberti, senior vice president of energy strategy, and Diane Sullivan, vice president of energy development, have joined the firm. Alberti recently led a $300 million electric power initiative at an unnamed “large-scale environmental engineering and construction firm.” Sullivan joins Haley & Aldrich after 15 years with a “multidisciplinary land planning, design and environmental consulting firm,” where she was a principal/vice president.

EOS Climate: Keilly Witman has been named as the company’s vice president for marketing. She joins EOS from the EPA where she managed the GreenChill Partnership since 2007.

Koch Membrane Systems: Bill Musiak has been named North American commercial director for the filtration manufacturer’s water and wastewater division. Coley Ali has joined the company as regional manager, western United States and Canada, to direct the commercial development of the water and wastewater business for the region. Matias Amor has joined the company as regional sales manager, water and wastewater for Spain and Portugal.

Tesla: Aston Martin’s former chief engineer of vehicle engineering, Chris Porritt, has joined the electric sports car manufacturer as its vice president of vehicle engineering.

SAIC Energy, Environment & Infrastructure: Tim Masters joined the SAIC-subsidiary’s oil and gas market team as a civil engineer. Masters will support SAIC’s civil infrastructure services from the company’s Lakewood, Colo. office, focusing on oil and gas clients.
