Environmental Executive Moves: IHS, WWF, Codexis, Environ
IHS: Scott Key (pictured) is now president and CEO of the information and analytics company. Key was also elected to the IHS board of directors, effective June 1, and per the companyâs planned CEO succession former chairman and CEO Jerre Stead has become executive chairman. Key, who joined IHS in 2003, most recently served as president and chief operating officer.
Codexis: The developer of engineered enzymes for pharmaceutical, biofuel and chemical production has appointed Scott Watson as vice president of sales and marketing. Watson served most recently as the executive director of sales and marketing at AMPAC Fine Chemicals.
World Wildlife Fund: WWF-Canada has named David Miller president and CEO of the conservation organization, effective Sept. 3. Miller was mayor of the city of Toronto from 2003 to 2010 and is counsel for international business and sustainability at Aird & Berlis LLP.
Environ: The environmental consultancy says forensic architect Steven H. Kahn has joined the firm as a principal in the Boca Raton, Fla., office. Kahn has 29 years of experience in building forensics, design, project management and construction.
Dorsey & Whitney: The law firm says Thomas A. Lorenzen has joined the Regulatory Affairs group in the firmâs Washington, DC, office as a partner. Lorenzen joins Dorsey from the US Department of Justiceâs Environment and Natural Resources Division, where he served as an assistant chief.
California Air Resources Board: The state board has chosen Edie Chang as ARB deputy executive officer. A 20-year veteran of ARB, Chang replaces Richard Corey, who was recently appointed the boardâs executive officer.
Recology: The employee-owned recycling and landfill diversion services company has elected Dennis Wu chairman of the board of directors. Wu is the managing partner and co-founder of CPA firm WuHoover & Co and has served as a member of the Recology board for the past five years.
Practically Green: The digital sustainability engagement programs provider says Facebook manager of energy efficiency and sustainability Bill Weihl has joined its board of directors.
Essential Innovations Technology: The company, which focuses on commercialization strategies for patent-pending environmental technologies, has appointed John âJackâ DiEnna Jr. to its strategic advisory board. DiEnna is the executive director and founder of the Geothermal National & International Initiative.
