CODA’s energy storage system – the CODA Core – has received ‘subject 1973’ safety standards certification from UL. The CODA 40kWh high-voltage system is the first commercial scale energy storage system specifically targeted for behind-the-meter use to be subjected to UL 1973 and pass.

Canadian contract and interior textile specialist, Victor Group, has achieved the Facts (For Association Contract Textiles) standard, a new sustainable textiles rating system which recognizes contract textiles that conform to standard NSF/ANSI 336. This recently created third-party certification indicates that a product has been assessed for environmental, economic and social aspects across its life cycle, Ecotextile reports.
The Newport Beach Civic Center and Park project earned LEED gold level certification. The Civic Center and park opened in May and includes an 88,000-square-foot City Hall building, 12,000 square feet for Council Chambers and a Community Room, a 14-acre park, a Central library expansion and a parking structure with 450 spaces.

The Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Inc., and Habitat for Humanity International have signed an MOU and pledged to expand the cooperation between the two groups by encouraging the use of wood products certified to the SFI Standard on Habitat construction sites. SFI has also worked with the National Association of Home Builders and Built Green Canada to support green building certification of Habitat homes.
