Environmental Executive Moves: UQM, Aclara, GEI, Envirosystems
UQM Technologies: The developer of propulsion systems for electric, hybrid electric, plug-in hybrid electric and fuel cell electric vehicles has promoted Josh M. Ley to the position of vice president of engineering. Ley joined UQM as an intern in 1994.
Aclara Technologies: The provider of smart technologies for water, gas and electric utilities has appointed Kurt Bruenning (pictured) chief financial officer and senior vice president of finance, accounting, information technology, and legal functions. Most recently, Bruenning was vice president of finance and treasury at Foresight Energy.
GEI Consultants: The geotechnical, environmental, water resources, and ecological science and engineering firm, has elected four senior vice presidents and five new VPs. The new leadership team includes: Giovanni Bonita, senior VP and geostructural practice leader in GEIâ€™s Washington, DC office; Ileen S. Gladstone, senior VP and environmental practice leader in GEIâ€™s Boston office; Alberto Pujol, senior VP and geotech/water resources practice leader in GEIâ€™s Oakland office; Michael J. Wheeler, senior VP and geotechnical oractice leader in GEIâ€™s Green Bay office; Paul J. Killian, VP and environmental practice leader in GEIâ€™s Green Bay office; Jamie S. Matus, VP and geotechnical/geological practice leader in GEIâ€™s Lansing office; Michael G. Ruetten, VP and solid waste practice leader in GEIâ€™s Green Bay office; Donghai Wang, VP and computer applications development leader in GEIâ€™s Sacramento office, and; Daniel R. Wanket, VP and water resources practice leader in GEIâ€™s Oakland office.
Farella Braun + Martel: The law firm has appointed partner Sandra A. Edwards to chair its Environmental Law Department.
Envirosystems: The environmental services provider has appointed Eugene A. Cookson Jr. as a director to Envirosystemsâ€™ board of directors. Cookson currently serves as chief operating officer of Liquid Environmental Solutions.
