Environmental Executive Moves: Calpine, China Recycling Energy, Terra Novo
Hereâ€™s the latest news on hirings, promotions and departures among environmental leaders.
Calpine Corporation: The electric utility company has named W.G. â€śTreyâ€ť Griggs III as its executive vice president and chief commercial officer effective June 1. Previously, Griggs was a managing director at Goldman Sachs. Calpine also announced that Jeff Koshkin, currently vice president and controller, will succeed the retiringÂ Jim DeidikerÂ asÂ senior vice president and chief accounting officer. Koshkin joined Calpine in 2008.
China Recycling Energy: The energy recycling company announced that David Chong has resigned as its chief financial officer and secretary. Jackie Shi, the companyâ€™s vice president ofÂ finance, has been appointed as the new CFO and secretary. Shi has been serving as the assistant CFO and vice president in charge of finance for the company since January 2015.
Terra Novo: The manufacturer of erosion- and sediment-control products has promoted Andy IturriraÂ (pictured) to vice president of sales and engineering. HeÂ was previously director of engineering. Terra Novo has also promoted Brian Foster, previously the companyâ€™s marketing manager, to distribution sales manager.
UN Global Compact Board: Henrik O. Madsen, PhD, has been appointed to serve as a board member on the UN Global Compact Board, the worldâ€™s largest voluntary corporate sustainability initiative. Madsen is group president and chief executive officer of DNV GL.
Unity College: Jennifer deHart has been appointed sustainability director at Unity College in Maine. SheÂ previously served as sustainability coordinator for Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia.
Duane Morris: The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based law firm announced that Thomas M. Berliner, a partner in the firmâ€™s San Francisco office, has been named chair of the firmâ€™s global Energy, Environment and Resources Practice Group. He succeeds Stephen Teichler of the firmâ€™s Washington DC office.
