Suez EnvironnementSuez Environnement has opened a business development office in Houston, Texas, to better serve existing and future clients in the petrochemical, oil and gas, and power industries. The office opening is part of Suez Environnement’s broader plan to bring technology to water-intensive industries that are facing increasingly stringent regulatory requirements amidst resource scarcity.

Max Pellegrini, president of Suez Environnement’s treatment solutions activities in North America says moving closer to clients in the Gulf Coast will give SUEZ the opportunity to better understand the issues they are facing and to find real solutions to their local problems. With a wide array of sustainable water treatment technologies, a network of experts and operational experience in the execution of projects for the petrochemical, oil and gas, power and several other industries around the world, the Suez team can address the most complex industrial water challenges, he says.

Suez Environnement also has a fleet of specialized mobile trailers that address the short-term and emergency deionization needs of industries throughout the Gulf Coast. The addition of a team focused on the custom-design and supply of capital equipment will broaden the group’s footprint in the region.

Suez Environnement has worked on numerous capital equipment projects in the Gulf Coast, notably with petrochemical giant Sasol that recently commissioned Suez Environnement for the design and supply of raw water and wastewater treatment systems for its new $8.1 billion ethane cracker and derivatives complex in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
