Environmental Executive Moves: Call2Recycle, CTX, Xylem, Geo-Tech Polymers

Call2Recycle: The consumer battery stewardship organization has named Tim Michaels (pictured) managing director of operations. He previously managed operations at BlueLinx Corporation, GE Polymershapes and GE Supply. Call2Recycle Canada announced the election of Norman Clubb as chairperson of its board of directors. Clubb, who most recently served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Diversey Holdings, has served on the Call2Recycle Canada board of directors since 2013. He succeeds Susan Nieuwhof.

Carbon Trade Exchange (CTX): The environmental commodity markets company has appointed Michael MacGregor as chief strategy officer for the CTX Group. Prior to joining CTX, MacGregor was managing director of CCFE at the Intercontinental Exhange (ICE). CTX also announced the appointment of Daniel Scarbrough as president of CTX USA. He was previously senior vice president of CCFE at Climate Exchange and ICE.

Xylem: The global water technology company has appointed Kairus Tarapore as its senior vice president and chief human resources officer. Tarapore joins Xylem from Babcock & Wilcox, where he most recently served as senior vice president and chief administrative officer.

Geo-Tech Polymers: The plastics recycling company has appointed David Bender as its executive vice president and commercialization officer. Bender most recently served as the chief executive officer of Perpetual Recycling Solutions.

American Water Works Association: The nonprofit scientific and educational association has named G. Tracy Mehan III as executive director of government affairs. He will succeed Tom Curtis. Mehan is currently interim executive director at the US Water Alliance and source water coordinator for the US Endowment for Forestry and Communities.

Pasadena Water and Power: The utility’s general manager Phyllis Currie retired. Eric Klinkner has been appointed interim general manager while the city conducts a nationwide search for Currie’s replacement. Klinkner is currently the deputy general manager, a role he has held for more than a decade.

EBA Engineering: The civil and environmental engineering company has hired Hunter Loftin, PE, as a senior project manager in the firm’s civil/site engineering department. He was previously a practice leader at Kimley-Horn and Associates.
