Environmental Executive Moves: Xylem, Wheelabrator, Fenton, Cambrian

Xylem: The water technology company appointed Shashank Patel as its interim senior vice president and chief financial officer. Michael Speetzen, senior vice president and chief financial officer, accepted a position with another company. Patel is a 19-year veteran of Xylem and currently serves as CFO and vice president of finance for Xylem’s Applied Water Systems division.

Wheelabrator Technologies: The waste-to-energy company has tapped Robert Boucher Jr. as its new president and chief executive officer. He succeeds Mark Weidman, who retired after 25 years with the company. Boucher was previously the CEO and executive director of Transpacific Industries Group.

Fenton: The communications firm has appointed Ryan Cunningham and Eric Raymond as senior vice presidents in Washington DC and San Francisco, Calfornia, respectively. Cunningham comes to Fenton from Cunningham Strategic Communications, which he launched in 2013. Raymond joins Fenton from Google, where he was the communications manager for energy and sustainability.

Cambrian Innovation: The advanced biotechnology products company has appointed Anu Shah as its vice president of engineering. Prior to joining Cambrian, he was the principal division manager for wastewater engineering projects at Summit Engineering.

MRA Consulting Group: The Australian environmental consulting agency has hired Ron Wainberg, PhD, as its technical director. Previously, he was the technical director at Hyder Consulting.

Blue Gas Marine: The green energy corporation has appointed Bill Calvert (pictured) as an executive advisor. Calvert is the co-founder of BAF Technologies, a subsidiary of Westport Innovations, and has spent more than 30 years in the compressed natural gas industry.

US Green Building Council: The non-profit organization has hired Jane Henley as a senior advisor. Prior to joining USGBC, she was the chief executive officer of the World Green Building Council.

The Association of Postconsumer Plastic Recyclers: The trade organization has appointed Sandi Childs as the director of its films and flexible program. She has more than 30 years of experience in the plastic recycling industry, including positions with Coca-Cola Recycling, NAPCOR and Southeastern Container.
