CDEnviro portable sludge screenDrain services company, DS Environmental has invested in a CDEnviro MSU:10 portable sludge screen to improve is environmental cleaning services offered.

DS Environmental Services provides certified environmental cleaning services throughout the North West of Ireland with a base near Letterkenny, Co Donegal. In addition to servicing domestic sewage units, the company has a strong commercial side that has seen major investments in new trucks over the last couple of years.

The CDEnviro portable sludge screen further expands the company’s capacity and extends its capabilities to removing rag and separating the mineral content from tanker loads of waste that are either being delivered in from the field or being transferred between treatment plants.

The CDEnviro MSU:10 sludge screen is designed to facilitate liquid and solid separation from a variety of applications including screenings removal from sludge, grit removal from sludge, pre-screening for removal of larger debris/screenings prior to further processing. The flexibility of the MSU:10 screen means it can adapt to varying waste streams on location at customer sites, allowing the customer to choose how to use or reprocess materials.

DS Environmental says the portable sludge screen not only offers the advantage of allowing it to process waste material at the point it was produced; it also has reduced truck’s turnaround time from around three hours to less than 30 minutes.

In March, MTS Cleansing Services, a UK-based liquid waste management company, purchased three CDEnviro D:MAX mobile classification systems. The units will allow MTS to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill by separating grit and rag from sludge. The grit and silt that is recovered from the waste water can then be resold as recycled aggregates.
