MHA & GreenTech Anticipate $1.5 Million in Energy Savings

Millville, New Jersey Housing Authority commissioners inked an energy services contract with GreenTech Energy Services which is expected to save them close to $1.5 million over the next 15 years, Bridgeton News reports. The energy services contract will not exceed $863,937.

The agreement will allow GreenTech to install energy-saving equipment and features at various housing authority sites.

Improvements suggested by GreenTech include converting inefficient lighting systems to more energy-efficient lighting, placing a cover over a pool to minimize evaporation and save more energy, replacing boilers, and makinge changes to the ventilation systems at three high-rises.

The energy savings to the authority are projected at $121,000 per year. Operational savings total close to $35,000 per year.
