‘Wired’ & ‘Cookie’ Team On Eco-House Project

In a partnership that may seem, at first glance, to be formed by strange bedfellows, Conde Nast’s tech-culture magazine Wired and parenting-focused Cookie will team on a low-environmental-impact house that will open for three weeks this fall.

Wired will build the house – from recycled building materials and energy efficient lighting – while Cookie will furnish the nursery, writes Mediaweek (via Mediabuyerplanner.com).

The Wired Home is helping to bring in non-endemic advertisers such as Bosch and Control4. It has already drawn new advertisers such as Moxi DVR, and HP, which hasn’t advertised with Wired in years, has returned.

To coincide with the opening of the Wired Home, Cookie will release its first green issue in October. The magazine’s publisher says that the issue will attract tech and home furnishings advertisers.
