EPA Buys RECs From Sterling

The EPA is buying renewable energy equivalent to 100 percent of its annual electricity needs at more than 190 EPA facilities nationwide.

Sterling Planet will provide 135 million kilowatt hours from renewable energy sources to EPA over the next year.

Last year, EPA became the first federal agency to make the switch to 100 percent renewable energy with its total commitment to nearly 330 million kWh per year. That’s enough electricity to power 30,000 homes for a year.
