Independent Grocer Harvest Market Installs Solar Power System

Fort Bragg, California’s Harvest Market has installed a 25.5 kilowatt solar electric system comprised of 152 Sharp 167-watt panels and one Xantrex PV30-208 inverter. The solar electric system is projected to produce over 31,000 kW hours annually and to save the company thousands of dollars in electricity costs.

“Being the largest independent retailer on Mendocino’s North Coast, we felt the need to set an example of the importance of sustainable practices,” says Tom Honer, Owner of Harvest Market. “Many of our customers shop at Harvest Market for the wide array of organic, fair trade, and sustainable products that we carry and these customers place a high priority on a sustainable future.”

The system was designed and installed by REC Solar.
