Bissell Showcases Green Products

Bissell has launched a new green initiative at this year’s International Home + Housewares Show in Chicago, where it’s showing off a new Little Green Compact Cleaner. The Little Green has PVC-free tanks and hose, and has parts made from 100 percent post-consumer recycled plastic. The carton has a minimum of 75 percent recycled corrugated packaging, no Styrofoam or PVC inserts, is smaller than the previous version and is completely recyclable. In addition, the cleaner contains no heavy metals or optical brighteners and are free of phosphates and dyes. Bissell’s goal is to make this product from 75 percent recycled materials by the end of 2008.Keep in mind, this is a corporate video.

  1. Its good to hear that at least some companies are taking care of recycling and are concerned about environment. I know Bissell is into it mostly because of popularity and more money for them, but it is still a win-win situation for all.
