Software Tracks Energy Across Real Estate Portfolios

Facility and corporate real estate managers can better manage their energy expenses and maintenance through a new software that is specific to facilities management.

Planon‘s Green Intelligence for Facilities is intended for corporations, governments and other organizations that manage a portfolio of facilities, according to a press release.

The software allows facility executives to aggregate asset-level and property-level data into information that can be assessed and diagnosed for improvements in energy efficiency and reduction of carbon footprint.

The software also can help companies track LEED certification status across their real estate portfolios.

Other kinds of software also aid in tracking real estate assets.

For instance, BuildingGreen, a green building publisher and products cataloger, recently launched an online software package to help designers certify green structures more quickly and efficiently.

EADOC’s web-based system with LEED tracking functionality provides pages that include information on what materials were used, the project location and status of approval as well as attaches submittal and drawing documents. These files provide a paper trail for proof of compliance.

Procore, a developer of web-based construction project management software, also provides LEED detail tracking pages that include a brief description of the credit and a table with the requirements
