Dell Packaging Exec Discusses Bamboo Packaging

Oliver Campbell, Dell’s senior manager, Global Packaging, discusses how bamboo offers a sustainable solution that is revolutionizing Dell packaging. Campbell says bamboo packaging helps reduce environmental impact and ensure a healthier planet. “It’s the fastest-growing woody plant in the world, it’s strong and durable, so we know it can protect your technology equipment while en route to you and it’s certified “compostable,” he said.

  1. Congratulations but Oliver is miss and ill informed. First: there are 2000 different types of bamboo. The panda does NOT eat the bamboo Dell uses. Best be better informed to make your fine step forward sound credible.

  2. Hey David – Exactly Oliver’s point. When we first started talking about bamboo packaging, a lot of people asked about how this move impacted the pandas. Oliver’s point (and yours) is that it doesn’t. Thanks for joining the conversation. -Michelle at Dell
