The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) plans to launch its Green Game Changers initiative this week that asks companies to submit examples of their green policies, products and business models that help reduce environmental impact and biodiversity loss, reports Fast Company. Case studies published at the WWF Website can provide businesses with good examples on how to meet or implement their environmental strategies.
The U.K-based initiative already has approximately 20 case studies on its Website, including some from leaders such as Better Place, listed as an innovator in the transportation sector, and other under the radar companies such as Magenn Power, according to the article.
Game changers are segmented into seven categories: construction & materials, consumer goods & healthcare, energy, partnership networks, transportation, telecoms & technology and water and by benefits that the companies provide. Benefit categories are biodiversity, carbon reductions, energy efficiency, energy generation, water efficiency as well as reduce, reuse and recycle.
Anyone can submit case studies to the site, but WWF will monitor the site to ensure that only credible companies are listed, reports Fast Company. Companies can submit their case studies here.
