Sustainability Software Briefing: Serious Energy, Viridity, Sprint, Enxsuite, Bonneville Power

Serious Energy has launched a new release of its SeriousEnergy Manager enterprise energy-efficiency management platform. SeriousEnergy Manager 3.1 (pictured) includes powerful building intelligence reporting capabilities, advanced fault detection and diagnostics for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment, and more sophisticated monitoring and analytics applications than its predecessors, the company says.

“Today, in the age when everything is monitored and connected, facility managers are considerably more than passive viewers and fixers of buildings,” senior vice president and general manager of software & services Mark Mitchell says. “They are indeed the executors and active participants with the power to unleash greater value from our buildings – an imperative that will pay dividends for the rest of this decade, and beyond.”

Smart grid and clean energy technology provider Nexant Inc. has announced today that it has begun testing the new Energy Efficiency Central system that it is developing for Bonneville Power Administration. The system will replace BPA’s existing Planning, Tracking & Reporting system, currently used by over 140 Pacific Northwest utilities and stakeholders to manage and report on their energy conservation and renewable resource activities.

EE Central’s core functionalities include a common energy efficiency measures library, advanced process flow management, document management, document repository, flexible reporting and user dashboards, as well as capability for real-time integration with external tools such as savings calculators, Nexant says.

Viridity Software and Cirrus Management Solutions have formed a strategic partnership to help distribute Viridity products throughout Europe. Under terms of the agreement, Cirrus will distribute Viridity’s EnergyCenter software to its network of reseller partners across Europe, who will in turn incorporate it into their own technology portfolios, making it available to data center, IT and infrastructure managers across the continent.

Enterprise Fleet Management has partnered with cell phone provider Sprint to offer Mobile Resource Manager, a machine-to-machine product that enables users to see vehicle locations and activities in real time. Enterprise Fleet Management says that its MRM customers will enjoy vehicle tracking and reporting, wireless job dispatching and time tracking, and built-in navigation. This results in enhanced productivity, improved communications and a superior customer experience, Enterprise says.

Utilities Analyses Inc. has entered into an agreement to provide Enxsuite‘s customers with UAI’s energy procurement services, which include negotiating reduced energy rates, finding utility pricing inconsistencies and obtaining refunds.

Enxsuite says the partnership will enable its customers to access a complete end-to-end solution for planning and managing sustainability programs with the most cost-efficient utility bills possible.
