Share Your Environmental Insider Knowledge

Environmental Leader invites you to share a quote about the result of a sustainability initiative, environmental or energy management lesson or other insight you gained in 2011 for our annual Insider Knowledge Report. Last year, over 600 people submitted stories and thousands of Environmental, Sustainability and Energy Managers downloaded the report.

Submission Deadline: January 24, 2012.

Submit here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/TYPFH2F.

The best 100-or-so lessons we receive will be used in the report – which will be distributed in February for free.

The report will be indexed by author’s name, and by the company the author works for. A company URL can also be included. If you prefer to submit anonymously, that’s fine too.

Your story can be up to 750 words. Stories may be edited for clarity or length.

Stories that share metrics, before-and-after measurements and ROI are most useful.

What are good subjects?

– A test or implementation that worked better (or worse) than anticipated.

– Lessons learned about specific tactics, such as onsite generation, building retrofits, sustainable supply chain initiatives, emission prevention, water conservation, etc.

– Workplace stories – such as hiring, budgeting, green team activities, auditing & reporting, office politics, etc.

You can download last year’s report here: https://www.environmentalleader.com/environmental-leaders-2011-insider-knowledge-report/.

  1. My comments are concerned with one of the requirements: “to indicate the name of the company you are working with” I just left my work place (School) and came to America. I did the work when I was there but for now I have nothing to do with them
I can still present a comprehensive report on some of my activities. In Kenya where I have been working for the last 20 years the awereness about environment is very high and all environmental issues are already integrated in the national school programs with objectves, teaching methodologies et curricular and extracuricular activities. Please find a way to accept these reports like : Alternatives to protect our trees during Chritsmas season;designing of appropriate stoves,Cooking to save energy,Morale Values are good tools in Environment conservation, Integration is a guarntee for sustanaibility
