This month the GSA announced the start of a 60-day comment period on the government’s use of green building certification systems.
The Department of Defense is making middling progress on its 2011 environmental goals, according to the latest Office of Management and Budget sustainability scorecard, released in June. The scorecard said the department met two of its goals, made progress on two and needed improvement on a third. In contrast, the EPA met all of its sustainability and energy goals for 2011 and remains on track to meet all seven future goals, its scorecard said.
