Rio de Janeiro has launched an electric taxi program, deploying two Nissan Leaf all-electric taxis in the city. By the end of the year, 13 more zero-emission vehicles will be added to the fleet. The program is a partnership between the Rio de Janeiro city government, Nissan in Brazil and Petrobras Distribuidora, which will provide the EV charging stations.
