Clean Harbors: The environmental, energy and industrial services company has promoted Jerry E. Correll to president of Safety-Kleen Environmental Services. Correll replaces Robert Craycraft, who has resigned to pursue other opportunities. Correll joined Clean Harbors in 2002 in conjunction with the Company’s acquisition of Safety-Kleen’s Chemical Services Division. He most recently was executive vice president of environmental sales.
National Academy of Environmental Design: Linda Sorrento (pictured) has been appointed as the first permanent executive director of the think-tank and will guide this year’s launch of the organization’s new location at the Center for Sustainability and Green Technologies in Ni Village, Spotsylvania, Va. Previously, Sorrento was senior director of education for the US Green Building Council.
Green Innovations: The bamboo-based personal care and paper products company has appointed Philip C. Rundle as chief executive officer. He most recently was CEO of Oasis Brands, a tissue manufacturer.
URS Corporation: The engineering, construction and technical services company has named William Harnagel vice president and corporate controller. Prior to his promotion, he served as senior vice president and controller for the Power Group at URS.
Sustainability Accounting Standards Board: The nonprofit organization developing sustainability measurement and reporting standards for publicly held companies in the US has appointed Matteo Tonello, The Conference Board managing director of corporate leadership, to its advisory council.
OxiCool: Gen. James L. Jones has joined the cooling technology company’s advisory board. Jones, who leads Jones Group International, which provides advisory and strategic consulting services on energy, market access and trade promotion, and international security, is the former US national security advisor to the president.
