Environmental Executive Moves: URS, EBI, Wilo, Recology

Richard ReisHere’s the latest news on hirings, promotions and departures among environmental leaders.

URS Corporation: The construction and environmental engineering firm has named Richard Reis (pictured) as a vice president and Northwest regional manager for URS’s infrastructure and environment division. Prior to joining URS, Reis served as the operations manager for Tetra Tech in Bellevue, Wash.

EBI Consulting: The environmental, engineering and due diligence consulting company has announced three new hires. The company has appointed James Greskovich as director of business development for the life sciences industry. Greskovich comes to EBI from Clean Harbors Environmental, where he served as vice president of pharmaceutical and biotechnology. Peter Pratt has joined EBI as a program director within the acquisition/equity due diligence services group. Pratt is a LEED-accredited professional. Wendy Meschkow Grosshas been named senior architect in the real estate services group.

Rivertop Renewables: The renewable chemicals company has appointed John Monks as vice president of business development. Monk previously worked at companies including ICI, DSM and Genencor.

Wilo: The company, which makes pumps and pump solutions for water management, building services and groundwater, has hired Ralf Peifer as director of service for its new factory service center in Thomasville, Ga. Peifer is relocating from Germany to the US.

Recology: The recycling and disposal services company has elected Larry A. Colton, CEO of G2 Insurance Services, and George P. McGrath, Recology executive vice president and COO, to the company’s board of directors.

International Living Future Institute: The environmental NGO has appointed three members to its board of directors. George Salah, Coretta Anderson and Richard V. Piacentini will begin their board service at the organization’s May board meeting. Salah is director of real estate and workplace services at Google. Anderson is a former special initiatives manager with the Natural Resources Defense Council and current public relations and fundraising consultant. Piacentini is executive director of Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.

Fuel Freedom Foundation: The nonprofit that advocates for alternative fuels and electric vehicles has named Doug Foy, president of Serrafix and former Secretary of the Massachusetts Office for Commonwealth Development under Mitt Romney, as senior legal advisor.
