Environmental Executive Moves: DuPont, Six Senses, Appliance Recycling Centers of America

DuPont logoHere’s the latest news on hirings, promotions and departures among environmental leaders.

DuPont: The global engineering firm has announced several executive moves. James C. Collins Jr., who currently leads the Industrial Biosciences business, will become senior vice president and will oversee the Industrial Biosciences, Performance Polymers and Packaging & Industrial Polymers businesses. Matthew L. Trerotola will rejoin DuPont as senior vice president with responsibility for the Protection Technologies, Building Innovations, and Sustainable Solutions businesses. A previous DuPont corporate officer, he was most recently vice president and group executive of life sciences for the Danaher Corporation.

Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas: The luxury hospitality group has appointed Amber Marie Beard as VP of sustainability. Previously, Beard was with China Resources, one of China’s largest government owned organizations, and was head of sustainability with Sustainability Ltd, an investment finance-company managing niche real estate opportunities in China, Japan and Australia.

Appliance Recycling Centers of America: The appliance retailing and recycling service announced it has appointed Mark Eisenschenk to the new position of COO and president of ARCA Recycling. Eisenschenk most recently held the positions of president of Vanguard Graphics International and CEO of Xitron, simultaneously.

SEAIR: The developer of proprietary equipment that diffuses gases, such as oxygen, ozone and carbon dioxide into liquids, says Richard Charron has resigned as president and CEO effective Aug. 16 and as a member of the board of directors of Seair effective July 19. He is leaving for personal reasons, but will remain to assist the company through mid-August.

Electronic Recyclers International: The e-waste recycler has named three recycling specialists – Ben Bolton, Jeff Cabral and Mike Crean — to its growing national sales team. The three sales professionals will represent ERI in different parts of the country. Crean will be based in Raleigh, NC, Bolton will be based out of ERI’s New York City offices and Cabral will be based out of ERI’s Holliston, Mass. facility.

Stevens Water Monitoring Systems: The remote sensing instrumentation company announced it has hired Carmen Magro as VP of business development and agronomy.  Formerly a golf course superintendent, Carmen directed the Golf Course Turfgrass Management Program and Turfgrass Research Facilities at Penn State University.

Progressive Waste Solutions: The waste management company announced the appointment of William B. White to its board of directors. White is currently a partner in CBW Associates, a Canadian business consulting firm. Previously, he served as president of DuPont Canada, retiring in 2008.
