The deadline for Gulf of Mexico oil spill compensation claims against BP is likely to be extended from April 2014, according to both sides of the legal settlement, Reuters reports. The deadline could possibly be pushed into 2015.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission‘s Office of Inspector General said the agency’s records of decision on its environmental impact statements are too complicated for the public to understand. The inspector also found that the IG may have skipped opportunities for public participation in some environmental reviews, E&E Publishing reports.
