Contract Wins: Imtech, GE, Xylem, Abtech

XylemEngineering delivery firm Imtech Process and engineering and project management consultancy Royal Haskoning DHV have signed a cooperation agreement for the delivery of the Nereda technology for wastewater treatment in the UK. Imtech Process expects to build five to eight Nereda wastewater treatment installations in the coming years.

Water technology company Xylem has won a contract to work with Essar Projects to install its Sanitaire ICEAS biological treatment system in a wastewater treatment plant in Jamnagar, in the Indian state of Gujarat. Xylem will be responsible for the new installation as well as providing ongoing service and maintenance for the 70 million liters per day capacity wastewater treatment plant for the Jamnagar Municipal Corporation.

Russian oil company Bashneft will use GE’s ZeeWeed membrane bioreactor, electrodialysis reversal and reverse osmosis technologies at its Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim oil processing facility in Ufa, Russia. ZeeWeed will provide wastewater treatment at the facility, reports Water & Wastewater news.

GE is supplying eight of its 1.4 MW ecomagination qualified Jenbacher J420 biogas engines for a new cogeneration plant near Tel Aviv, Israel. The plant will generate 11.2 MW of renewable on-site power at the Dan Region Wastewater Treatment Plant, which is the biggest of its kind in Israel.

AbTech Industries is conducting the US’ first design-build-operate storm water management project for Nassau County, NY. The $12 million project, which was originally awarded July 1, addresses 10 stormwater outflow pipes in the county.  Work on the project is expected to begin immediately.

E3 Clean Technologies has concluded the sale of an Ammonia GreenBox, which will be used as hydrogen generation device, to the Hydrogen South Africa Infrastructure Center of Competence. Located in Potchesfstroom, the newly formed center is part of a national initiative aimed at positioning South Africa as a key player in the global hydrogen market.

Camelot Facility Solutions has been selected by American Electric Power to provide facilities operations and maintenance services for 1.5 million square feet of office space in 35 Ohio, Arkansas and Oklahoma locations. The multi-year contract brings Camelot’s total managed space for AEP to 2.5 million square feett, including Texas and Louisiana AEP facilities that Camelot has serviced since 2003.
