Contract Wins: Xylem, Tetra Tech, Presona, Rotork, Abt Associates

XylemXylem has won a contract worth RMB 11.48 million ($1.87 million) to provide an ozone generation and introduction system to help ensure a safe municipal water supply in the Jinshan district of Shanghai. Xylem will provide its Wedeco-branded ozone generation and introduction system and will also provide its integrated service package, TotalCareSM for the Jinshan First Water Plant, which has a capacity of 400,000 tons of water per day and serves the entire Jinshan district with a population of 730,000.

Sweden’s Presona AB will provide seven baling systems to handle the waste generated during the Olympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi, Russia. The equipment will be delivered to five cities in the Krasnodar region, where the public waste management companies will run the baling plants.

Tetra Tech has been awarded a $48 million contract to support the EPA’s regional superfund program throughout a six-state region that includes Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan and Ohio. Through the EPA Region 5 Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team (START) contract, Tetra Tech will provide advisory and assistance services to EPA on-scene coordinators and other federal officials implementing EPA’s responsibilities under the National Response System.

Rotork flow control products have been selected for applications throughout the Queensland coal seam gas-to-LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) projects in Australia. The three projects — Queensland Curtis LNG, Santos GLNG and Australia Pacific LNG — are developing coal seam gas in Queensland’s Surat and Bowen Basins and will initially produce more than 27 million metric of LNG for export each year.

The EPA’s Office of Water has awarded Abt Associates a five-year, $27.6 million contract to provide a range of economic and environmental assessment and regulatory support to the Effluent Limitations Guidelines and other surface water protection programs. The award charges Abt Associates with multiple responsibilities, with a focus on supporting the Office of Water in developing Clean Water Act regulations to reduce water pollution discharges.
