Center for Sustainable Shale Development: The a collaborative established last year between Chevron, Shell and other natural gas companies and environmental groups to set fracking standards has named Susan Packard LeGros its executive director. LeGros joins CSSD from Stevens & Lee, a Philadelphia-based law firm.
Tervita: The environmental and energy services company has named Chris Synek as its first chief operating officer. Synek joins Tervita from environmental services company Republic Services Incorporated.
Advanced Emissions Solutions: The emissions services company has promoted Jean Bustard to president of ADA-ES, one of the firm’s affiliated operating companies. Bustard was previously COO of ADA.
Watts Water Technologies: The water control products firm has named Dean P. Freeman, currently the company’s executive vice president and chief financial officer, as interim president and chief executive officer. Freeman’s appointment follows the resignation of David J. Coghlan from those posts assumed by Freeman.
Marrone Bio Innovations: The bio-based pest management and plant health products has appointed Hector Absi to the newly created position of chief operating officer for the company. Previously the senior vice president of commercial operations, Absi joined MBI in September 2012.
GeoMetWatch: The environmental data collection firm has named current shareholders Dean M. Willard, founder, chairman and CEO of private equity outfit Sangha Associates, and Edward A. Keible, Jr., chief executive of Capstan Advisors, as two new directors on its board.
Leggette, Brashears & Graham: The engineering firm has made Ken Kytta a vice president.
The International Society of Sustainability Professionals: The trade body has appointed Maureen Hart as executive director. Hart is author of the Guide to Sustainable Community Indicators.
General Shale: The brick, stone and concrete block manufacturer has announced that Richard L. Green will retire as CEO effective April 1. Green’s 40-year career has been spent entirely at General Shale, beginning in 1973 as a management trainee.
