Environmental Executive Moves: GE, Locus, EPA, Marcus Hotels, CIGI

Ted LorenziHere’s the latest news on hirings, promotions and departures among environmental leaders.

Marcus Hotels & Resorts: The hotel and resort owner/manager has named Ted Lorenzi (pictured) vice president of engineering and sustainability. Prior to joining Marcus Hotels & Resorts, Lorenzi served as senior director, engineering design and operations for Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.

General Electric: GE has appointed Ganesh Bell as the chief digital officer and general manager of commercial software and analytics for the Power & Water business. Bell most recently served as executive vice president, GM and chief products officer at ServiceSource.

Locus Technologies: The cloud-based environmental compliance and information management software firm has added three director-level employees to its management team: Chris Homer as director of sales, government and water sectors, Robin Wood as director of mobile applications, and Raj RajaMariappan as vice president of software architecture and platform engineering. Homer comes to Locus from Enablon, where he was responsible for global account management for the Western US. Wood is the original principle architect and developer of ScanControl’s CropTrak, an iOS-based product that was acquired by Cogent3D. RajaMariappan comes to Locus from Oracle where he was the director of product strategy for the Instantis product line in the Oracle Primavera Global Business Unit.

EPA’s Environmental Financial Advisory Board: The board, which advises the EPA administrator on ways to lower the costs of, and increase investments in, environmental and public health protection, has appointed Cadmus Group principal G. Tracy Mehan III to serve a two-year term.

Centre for International Governance Innovation: The think tank has appointed Jason Thistlethwaite as a CIGI fellow, for research on the implications of climate change risks on the global economy. Thistlethwaite is director of the Climate Change Adaptation Project: Canada at the University of Waterloo.
