Tepco Likely to Miss Fukushima Water Cleanup Deadline

Tokyo Electric Power will likely miss its deadline to stop cancer-causing radiation from contaminating groundwater at its wrecked nuclear plant in Fukushima, Bloomberg News reports.

When shown calculations by the news agency that put the utility past its March 31, 2015 deadline for filtering the isotope strontium out of stored water, Tepco spokeswoman Mayumi Yoshida said, “We can only say we’ll make efforts to achieve that target.”

Cleanup delays could extend a South Korean ban on Japanese seafood imports and increase calls for an international takeover of the Fukushima cleanup, Bloomberg says.

  1. TEPCO will miss every every deadline that put in front of them as they continue to dump millions and millions of gallons of radioactive waste into the Pacific Ocean every single day to poison our fish and ocean life! TEPCO can never be trusted and it would be a very good idea to do a radiation and heavy metal detox with the natural mineral called Zeolite which has been proven to safely remove both radiation and heavy metals from the body For more information do a search for the single word Zeolite.
