Advanced Emissions Solutions: The holding company for power generation emissions solutions companies has appointed Heath Sampson chief financial officer. Sampson previously served as CFO at Square Two Financial.

Cox Enterprises: The communications, media and automotive services company has promoted Steve Bradley and Robert Fairey to senior directors. Bradley will serve as senior director of environmental sustainability and Fairey will serve as senior director of energy procurement and waste diversion.

Hunton & Williams: The law firm announced that Samuel L. Brown (pictured) has joined the firm’s environmental practice as a senior attorney in its San Francisco office. Brown previously served in the EPA’s office of regional counsel in San Francisco.

Louis Berger: The global professional services company has announced that Raed EL-Farhan will serve as senior vice president and global water market sector lead, and Rick Schoenthaler will join the company as vice president for its Middle East and North Africa water and wastewater sector. EL-Farhan previously served as vice president in charge of the company’s science and water resources division. Schoenthaler has been managing water sector consulting services in the MENA region for the last 14 years.

Environmental Systems Design: The building systems design company has promoted Paul Barter, Zackery House, Keith Seier and Michael Thomas to senior vice president. Barter currently leads the company’s high performance buildings team, House leads the company’s technology consulting team, Seier leads the company’s technical operations team, and Thomas is the company’s director of business development.
