To ensure the humane treatment of birds that supply down, as of fall 2014 Patagonia uses only 100 percent traceable down. The company traces it from farm to factory to make sure the birds that supplied it were never force-fed or live-plucked, and that its down is never blended with down from sources it can’t trace.
